it is made from a thick, substantial fabric, not as thick as our denim jackets, but thicker than our long sleeved denim shirts. The shirt might also work for summer evenings or heavily air conditioned spaces. It looks nice over a t-shirt and with the fabric so thick, it is more comfortable with a t-shirt. The fabric is a cotton / synthetic blend. It's not rough like some denim fabric, but because of the thickness it's not soft either. The construction uses flat felled seams (often used on jeans) on the inside which are very secure.

Sometimes looks can be deceiving. Right out of the package, I thought that this was a size bigger than I ordered, and it felt more like a jacket, for heaviness.

But no, the fit was exactly as I had ordered, I just had to remember that denim is more rigid than other materials I wear so it just shows the size more.

For heaviness, yes there's a tad bit more weight to it, since it's denim, than my other shirts. I would call this a cool weather shirt, not a warm or hot weather shirt.

I had also forgotten just how much a denim shirt shows off how much weight I have put on around the midsection. (So this is definitely not a shirt for if you conceal carry inside the waistband.)

It's just a plain denim, pale blue, which I prefer, and looks good. The buttons are big enough for anybody who is older and may be losing dexterity in their hands.

This isn't a cheaply made product. I recommend this denim shirt because of the structure and the classic look of denim.
